I lived in this city for almost 5 years.
As a foodie I tried to check out as many food spots as possible in Frankfurt.
Find my favorite food places below!
Food:
Everything I have tried here tasted really good. Whether it is their pancakes, their homemade cakes, their Holzofenbrote or their Shakshuka. I also like their coffees and teas.
I love that their dishes are healthy and middle eastern inspired. In addition, you can also find a variety of coffees & teas on their menu.
I still need to try their weekly lunch specials and tapas, which you can try every Thursday and Friday evening.
Interior:
The interior is very pretty. Love the tiles on the wall and on the floor which give the place a cozy vibe. Once you sit down, you will never want to leave. In summer, you can sit outside.
Service:
The very friendly and attentive service also contributes to this feeling. When I had to sit at the bar in the hallway, as all tables were taken, they let me know when a better table became available and helped me move my coffee and breakfast.
Lucille is usually very busy on weekends especially in the morning and later afternoon.
It is recommended to reserve a table.

Food:
Don't come here, if you are trying to lose weight. The first time I came here, I was on a diet and only enjoyed one of Roseli's salads, which tasted really good. A few days later I came back here to try one of the cakes I saw during my first visit at Roseli. I tried the berry cheesecake, which is available as a vegan, a gluten-free and a normal option. I tried the gluten-free version that time. I came back several times for my slices. Roseli's lunch specials are also very delicious. I can highly recommend their quiches and the avocado bread which is topped with eggs.
It is one of my favorite places to spend my lunch breaks at.
Interior/Outside:
Every girl will love the interior. It is the perfect place for princesses. It is also possible to eat outside.
Service:
The owner of Roseli is super sweet and super nice. It is always a pleasure to talk to her. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly and very attentive.
It is always busy at Roseli. You might need to wait for a table to become available. But it is worth the wait.
Food:
Sometimes I love to treat myself to fancy dinners. If you feel like treating yourself or treating someone else to a fancy date, VaiVai is the perfect restaurant. They serve Italian inspired food and steak.
Interior:
Industrial style meets Italy. Industrial style mixed with red, green and white. I love the open kitchen, as you can watch the chefs prepare all the delicious food.
Service:
The service is very friendly and attentive.
VaiVai has 3 areas: the restaurant, a bar and a lounge area. The restaurant is always very busy. Please reserve a table, when you are planning to go there
Food:
They offer a variety of coffees. Espresso, Cortado and Galao are just a few examples. Kaffeemacherei is the perfect place for every coffee lover. I do not only like their coffees, but also their Chai Latte. You can also order iced versions of their coffees. In summer, they also have Eiskaffee - the perfect treat to cool down.
Their breakfasts are really delicious. I usually order the Mini Breakfast with a croissant & jam. By the way, they have the best croissants in Frankfurt. I love how crispy they are.
They do not only offer conventional breakfasts (they are really good!), but also healthy options such as smoothie bowls, fruit salads, and avocado breads with hummus and edamame.
I still need to try more of their healthier breakfast options. So far I only tried their avocado bread, which tasted really good.
Also their homemade cakes are really good. I love that they also have vegan cakes.
Interior/Outside:
The interior is so cute. I love the shelves behind the bar. I usually sit at the window looking outside while enjoying my breakfast. I could spend the whole day at this place.
When it is warm, it is possible to enjoy a coffee sitting outside while getting a tan.
Service:
The ladies who are working here are so friendly and so nice. It is always good to chat with them. They are very attentive and always ask if everything is okay or if you want anything else.
It is always busy there. You most likely will share a table with others, which I like, as you get to talk to people who you haven't met before.
They opened a second location in Frankfurt: Bornwiesenweg 5. I will definitely check it out next time when I am in Frankfurt.

Food:
When I lived in NYC, I used to go to Bareburger a lot. Every time someone from Germany visited me in New York, I took them to Bareburger. I couldn’t believe my eyes, when I saw that there is a Bareburger in Frankfurt. If you miss or love American food as much as I do, Bareburger is the place to satisfy your cravings. Like in NYC, their focus is on burgers. You can create your own burger or order one of their signature burgers. Their sides include fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings. I also love their desserts, especially those with their homemade ice creams.
Interior/Outdoor:
The restaurant could be in NYC. I always feel like I am back in New York, when I am at Bareburger. Their walls are decorated with bear heads - not real ones of course.
Service:
The waiters and waitresses are always very friendly and attentive.
Bareburger is always busy. It’s recommended to reserve a table.
